Blink. Once. Twice. Blink, blink.
Fallen from a perilous dream,
a nightmare forces him to blink, blink.
Eyes wide, aware and awake for the 1st time in 20 years,
He takes it all in as hope births and banishes fears.
He stands. Tall. He’s never felt so elevated.
Barriers deceased as he breaks down the wall.
No longer a slave to her drug inducing ways,
Defeat diminishes as her carcass perishes.
Eyes find the clock as it blinks its plan,
2 A.M., the moment his life began.
